Kowi Group increases share of Topigs Norsvin genetics

Grupo Kowi, one of Mexico’s leading agri-food groups, will expand the share of Topigs Norsvin genetics in its pig production systems. Over the next two years, the volume of Topigs Norsvin genetics will grow to a majority share in Kowi’s production pyramid. Kowi works with the combination TN70 sow and Norsvin Duroc terminal boar.

“For Kowi, Topigs Norsvin represents the best alternative in genetic quality at a competitive price. It allows us to continue to offer our domestic and export customers the best quality of pork. And it allows us to produce pigs with optimal production parameters,” says Vicente Bihouet, Director of Kowi Group.

“We are very happy and proud to extend our business relationship with Kowi Group. We are convinced that our genetics complement the conditions of the members of the Kowi Group and its market. I am sure that this growing partnership will be a success for both organizations. Co-creating long-term, strategic solutions with companies as professional and successful as Kowi allows us to contribute to the success and development of the pig industry in the long run,” says José Córdoba, Director of Topigs Norsvin Mexico.
